ldapprofile

The ldapprofile tool allows an LDAP client configuration file to be generated automatically from information contained within a directory server, according to the schema defined in draft-joslin-config-schema-04.txt. An interactive script, ldapclient, is provided for initial client configuration.

The following software supports the configuration file syntax generated by ldapprofile:

• nss_ldap
• pam_ldap
• OpenLDAP

The PADL migration tools support generation of a simple profile from information supplied by the user.
