PADL is pleased to announce version 2.2 of the NIS/LDAP Gateway (ypldapd). This release, ypldapd-151, corrects the following issues since build 103 of version 2.1:
support for Solaris 10 x86, Mac OS X 10.5 and IRIX 6.5
support for Novell Modular Authentication Services (NMAS) universal passwords
support for SSL certificate authentication
support for specifying connect timeout to LDAP server
better handling of low free file descriptor conditions
ships with newer LDAP client library
correctly rebind in ldappasswd to referred servers
fixed Bug 130: don't include network in netmasks map
fixed Bug 123: flush shadow maps on password change
fixed Bug 106: LDAP errors cause ldappasswd to crash on Linux
miscellaneous bug and memory leak fixes
Note: NMAS and SSL are not supported on IRIX.
Version 2.2 is available immediately to all customers with a current support contract.
